Role: UX/UI designer
Date: August 2022 - ongoing
Tools: Figma, Wordpress, Elementor, Mailchimp, Sendgrid, Canva, JIRA, Confluence, Agile, Google Workspace, Slack
My key achievements:
redesigned and augmented statistics part of the app to fit a lot more data,
redesigned Vocaly landing page in Wordpress, using Elementor,
gamified student experience to encourage more frequent practice,
documented the processes and design systems, learned the importance of organising information using Confluence, Jira and more,
learned to cooperate with developers and incorporate business goals into design process.
Vocaly is an app that supports vocal coaches during singing classes and motivates & assists their students during daily voice training between singing lessons. To this day, it has helped to conduct over 2500 lessons, assign over 3700 homeworks, and do over 72 000 exercises.
The majority of my work is done in Figma, where most of the design happens. I take care of the design system so that it's clear for everyone who wants to work on the project.
I keep track of the workflow using Jira; I manage the design related tasks for me and my frontend developer coworkers. Moreover, I contribute to our Confluence knowledge hub, where we keep all definitions, processes, and ideas.
My responsibilities besides UX/UI design include:
- user research and testing with customers,
- graphic design / video editing for social media content and for our Google Play and App Store accounts,
- cooperating with the dev team in the field of manual testing,
- conducting design brainstorming meetings within our team.
I've also redesigned Vocaly landing page in Wordpress, using Elementor.

I've conducted a UX audit, consulted the UX and business needs with the CEO, and designed the landing page first in Figma, then in Elementor. This process allowed the team to iterate with low cost, test ideas and finally land on the final, polished design.
I am thankful to have gained a lot of experience here, in the Vocaly team. I’ve quickly adopted its can-do mindset, focus on problem solving, and teamwork principles.
